IMPORTANT NOTICES:

NO CLASS on Fri Oct 24 at Azabu Kumin Center 10:00-11:30 AM as the room is not available.

Tokyo Yoga Circle will temporarily close on/ from Sunday December 1, 2008 and will resume classes and special workshops in Tokyo from March 2009.

This is indeed a long break but due to the health of my mother I would like to spend more time in Pune, India.

This period will also give me an opportunity to further my yoga studies.

All tickets that have been purchased by students must be used by
Sunday November 30, 2008.

Henceforth, all class tickets will be sold in increments of 4 coupons,
for JPY11,000, valid till Sunday November 30, 2008.

Participants are also more than welcome to attend on a drop in class basis for JPY3000.

From March-May 2009 and September-November 2009, for 10 weeks at a time, 5 months a year in total, I will conduct classes and courses in Tokyo.

The same time schedule (as it is now) applies to classes at Tokyo American Club, UBS, Azabu Civic Center and Bell Commons where classes will continue on the same schedule and will be offered as 10 week adult enrichment courses. Special workshops will also be offered.

Please stay posted from Janurary 2009 for more details related to courses and precise class dates for 2009. Students will be requested to register for these courses by internet.

I wish to extend my sincerest gratitude to all my loyal students and wellwishers who have steadfastly stood by my side over the past 20 years, since 1988, when I first started teaching yoga in Tokyo, Japan, following the wishes and receiving the blessings of Guruji Yogacharya Shri BKS Iyengar, to start my career as a BKS Iyengar method yoga teacher.

I would also like to take this opportunity to assure my students that my commitment to yoga and the path of teaching yoga at this time is as strong and stable as it was the first day I started studying yoga, in 1978, from the "infatuation" of the beginner to the "commitment" of the mature student, to my life's work.

For the period when Rajay is not in Tokyo, a practise study group is being organised. All continuing students who have already attended Rajay's classes and have a fair knowledge of how to practise yoga are be invited to join this group and practise together on Tuesday mornings from 11 AM-1PM and/or Tuesday evenings from 7PM-9PM at the Azabu Civic Center.

There will be a nominal fee of JPY2000 per month to cover the cost of renting the room.

The group will give students a wonderful opportunity to practise together and cultivate the discipline and art of their own personal practise.

Please stay posted for futher details regarding dates in December, January and February, and e mail addresses of the contact persons. In the meantime please let Rajay know if you may be interested in joining the practise group.
